About Aksumite Empire
One of the four great civilizations of the ancient world alongside Rome, Persia, and China. Minted its own coins. Built enormous stone stelae, some over 24 meters tall. Converted to Christianity in the 4th century, one of the first nations to do so. The Queen of Sheba legend connects to Aksum. Declined as trade routes shifted.
