About Durrani Empire

Founded by Ahmad Shah Durrani, regarded as the father of modern Afghanistan. His armies invaded India repeatedly and defeated the Marathas at the Third Battle of Panipat in 1761. Its territory stretched from eastern Iran to Kashmir and Punjab. Internal conflicts after his death steadily weakened the realm.
