About Hittite Empire
A Bronze Age power ruled from Hattusa in central Anatolia. The Hittites fought Egypt at the Battle of Kadesh around 1274 BC, and later signed one of the earliest known peace treaties with Ramesses II. Their language is the oldest attested Indo-European tongue. The empire collapsed during the Late Bronze Age crisis.
