Kushan Empire

About Kushan Empire

An empire stretching from Central Asia into northern India, founded by the Yuezhi people. Under Kanishka it became a major patron of Buddhism. Gandhara art blended Greek and Indian styles in some of the earliest images of the Buddha. The Kushans sat at the crossroads of trade between Rome, Persia, India, and China.
