About Majapahit Empire

The last great Hindu-Buddhist empire of Southeast Asia. Controlled most of modern Indonesia, Malaysia, and parts of the Philippines. Gajah Mada, the prime minister, swore not to eat spices until all of Nusantara was united. Collapsed with the spread of Islam. The modern Indonesian national motto comes from a Majapahit concept.
