About Zulu Kingdom
Shaka revolutionized African warfare with the short assegai and close-combat formations. Defeated the British at Isandlwana in 1879, one of the worst defeats of a modern army by an indigenous force. The British won at Rorkes Drift the same day, immortalized in the film Zulu. Eventually defeated by superior technology.
